Course programme

Giving a label to music doesn't make sense. Every production is unique, and the best music is the one that crosses boundaries, reaching to an unexpected audience. This label was invented in the United States to (try to) define all those genres ranging from Hip-Hop to R'n'B and Soul, and everything in between.

To us this label is useful to represent more than the musical result; it's the whole approach to production, it's a culture defined by those producers that have given a new meaning to the role of producer, mainly using low-fi technologies like turntables, Akai MPC samplers, and more recently Propellerhead Reason and Ableton Live.

This course pays homage to people like Q-Tip, Dr.Dre,Timbaland, Pharrell Williams Kanye West, DJ Shadow, and countless others on both sides of the Atlantic, exploring these production techniques and showing the way for a new generation of talents.

Equipment used
Technics 1200, Pioneer CDJ, Propellerheads Reason, Ableton Live, Akai APC and MPC, Native Instruments Maschine, and much more.
