As an Apprentice you will hold a full time job and attend college one day per week throughout the 24 month programmeWe believe the future of research lies in breaking down traditional barriers between academic disciplines so the bigger problems of the 21st century can be considered from human as well as physical perspectives. We have a number of interdisciplinary research themes, which fit closely with international research priorities.

Course programme

You will cover some of the following units: Contribute to good housekeeping Ensure your own actions reduce risks to health and safety Maintain positive working relationships Remove and replace structural body panels Repair structural body panels Technical Certificate: This is the theory and underpinning knowledge you require within your job. The qualification is called a Diploma in Vehicle Body Repair or Refinishing. You will also complete the Employment Rights and Responsibilities workbook to ensure you are aware of your legal status. On your college day-release, you will be taught by your Tutor or Training Officer. Whilst at work, your Training Officer will visit you and carry out assessments in a variety of styles: observing you; completing knowledge questions; setting practical tasks. They will also help you build your portfolio of evidence for your NVQ.
