Description
The Higher National programme in Vehicle Operation Management is structured to develop the student who works, or wishes to work in a vehicle related environment. The development will cover a substantial range of units focusing on both managerial and practical applications in vehicle operations.

Course Length
This is a 2-year, full-time course. Applicants would be expected to study in their own time in addition to attending classes.

  • Unit 6: Business Law for Vehicle Operations
  • Unit 7: Customer Services in Vehicle Operations

    How will I learn?
    Typically your teaching team or tutor will devise a series of learning activities that will assist you to develop the knowledge, understanding and range of skills necessary to achieve the assessment criteria and learning outcomes. The learning activities will be devised to be as realistic of the real world as possible, and will use whichever teaching method is most appropriate for particular learning outcomes. Tutors are always open to new ideas, and if any student believes they know better ways of achieving the set learning outcomes their suggestions will be welcomed. Those selecting technical vehicle units will be engaged in the excellent workshop facilities.

    How will I be assessed?
    Assessment and grading is coursework based. Learners skills will be developed and then tested through a range of assignments.

    Where could it lead?
    The HND is recognised by universities as a suitable entry requirement for Degree level courses. You could also progress to employment in a a vehicle franchaise, fleet management or own business.
