The qualification consists of four core units, eight specialist units and three key skills units. The core units consist of essential working practices and customer care, vehicle systems, vehicle electronics and fault diagnosis.

Description:
This course is designed for those who wish to become highly skilled vehicle technicians or those wishing to pursue other career paths in the automotive sector. The qualification consists of four core units, eight specialist units and three key skills units. The core units consist of essential working practices and customer care, vehicle systems, vehicle electronics and fault diagnosis rectification. One of the core units and one of the option units is externally assessed, as are the key skills units, whilst the remainder of the units are continually assessed via a combination of course work written tests.
