What you need to know
How will I study?

If you are a full time student aged 16-18 you will follow a study programme which will consist of your main course, enterprise and enrichment activities, English and Maths as well as work experience. The course also covers a range of units including: engine lubrication, engine cooling, fuel and exhaust systems, spark ignition systems, electrical systems, braking systems, transmission systems, steering & suspension systems, wheel & tyre systems, engine power units & operating principles. When you have completed your City & Guilds units you will have the opportunity to modify a vehicle over 4 weeks and when completed, show it off to the campus.
How will I be taught?

The course is delivered over 2-days practical & ½-day theory which will include Functional Skills (English and maths) and several tutorials which are carried out by your student tutor.
How will I be assessed?

The course is broken down in 10 units where students have both a practical and written assessments. The full assessment methods will be discussed during interview.
