Course programme

Here we explain the main parts of the syllabus:

  • Basic naturopathy: history and definition of naturopathy, naturopath's professional role, three fundamental concepts, meaning of symptoms, health, disease, pathology and syndrome, vital energy (massage techniques for vital energy recovery, relaxation techniques).
  • Anatomy and physiology of the animal body: origins of the dog and cat, locomotor, skeletal apparatus and its malformations, respiratory system, urogenital system and reproduction, integumentary apparatus, nervous system and sense organs, cardiovascular system, digestive system.
  • Biochemistry and chemistry: introduction to life and concepts of chemistry, cell, atom structure, atom bonds, oxidation-reduction reactions, acid and base definition, pH and pOH, buffer solutions, cellular respiration (glycolysis, Krebs cycle, active transport across cell membrane, lactic and alcoholic fermentation), glucids, lipids, proteins, nitrogen bases, enzymes and nucleic acids, inflammation mechanism and fever.
  • Veterinary homeopathy: history of homeopathy and theories, homeopathy and homeopathic examination, role of naturopathy, paraomeopathic therapy, basics of homeopathic pharmacology, principles of pharmacology and interactions, major homeopathic remedies (more than 30).
  • Flower therapy and Bach: Edward Bach's thought and life, preparation of floral essences and preservation, preparation of the bottle, animal behavior determination, 12 healers, 7 assistants, 19 assistants, practical use of Bach remedies for animals (more than 40), Australian flowers for animals.
  • Veterinary pathology: uropoietic disease, endocrine disorder, musculoskeletal disease, integumentary and nervous system disorders, dismetabolic diseases and veterinary cardiology, pathologies and disorders of other animals.
  • Medicinal herbs: herbal medicine and botanical history, preservation and preparation of medical herbs, instruments, preparations for internal use (infusions, decoctions, tincture, powdered herbs) and for external use (fluid extract, dry extract, mother tincture, oleolite, squeezing, essential oils, syrup, ointments) major remedies, medical herbs for most common disorders (more than 35).
  • Nutrition and therapy with trace elements: minerals, natural nutrition and trace elements therapy, diatholic oligotherapy, oligoterapic preparations, taking and contraindications of trace elements, dog, cat and other pet eating.
