Introduction

Course Content
There are 4 Units arranged as follows: UNIT1: Pricing unit principles, including one way and return Sub-journey checks
UNIT2: Calculating fares applying HIPs CTM and Backhaul checks, including exceptions and secondary level fares.
UNIT3: Constructing normal and special ares with surface sectors, normal open-jaws,side trips and stopover charges
UNIT4: Assess multi-sector fares for itineraries containing mixed classes.
- Construct fares for multi-sector journeys, applying the mileage system, higher intermediate fares and minimum fare checks.
- Apply add-ons to construct unpublished fares.
- Determine fares for itineraries with more than one breakpoint.
- Calculate fares for itineraries with surface sectors and side trips.
- Assess fares for journeys of differing classes.
- Interpret special fares and apply to multi-sector itineraries and open jaw constructions.
- Complete automated and manual fare calculation area details.
- Issue conjunction tickets manually to IATA standards.
- Establish fares for children, infants and other rebate categories.
- Source information on the procedures for revalidations, endorsements, reissues and refunds.
Courses are conducted on full-time and part-time basis.
On successful completion of the course students receive a Virgin Atlantic certificate accredited by IATA leading to 20 IATA points.
