Use EQ, compression, delays and reverb in a professional manner to enhance vocal

Describe how a microphone works and suggest types of microphones suited to a variety of situations and how to set up basic acoustic treatment to control room acoustics
Editing and compile vocal takes
Control sibilance, room acoustics and other artefacts that can ruin vocal recordings
Tune vocals digitally
Describe various psychological approaches to help the artist deliver their best vocal performance.

Memory stick/storage device for saving work, notepad and pen.

Classes will generally begin with a demonstration and discussion followed by practical work.
You will work on an individual Mac workstation to practise set themes, techniques and skills, applying these to your developing ideas and material.
You will present your work in progress regularly to the group and receive feedback, support and encouragement from your tutor throughout the course.
It is useful to have access to a Mac with Logic software outside class to work on your project between sessions.
