Course programme

Stone Therapy is a technique for using specific types of stone at different temperatures in contact with the skin in order to increase the effects of massage treatment for the face and the body. Stone Therapy is an energy therapy and is concerned with creating balance within the body. By alternating temperatures via stones the therapy brings about a chemical response within all the systems of the body. The types of stones most commonly used are Balsalt Lave stones for hot work and Marble stones for cold work.

The consultation and treatment planning with the client is most important to establish satifactory and advantageous use of the stones. The purpose of treatment is to improve relaxation and the client's sense of well-being. Stone Therapy is most often used in conjunction with facial or body massage, added to a Reflexology treatment and can also be applied seperately.
