VTCT Level 2 Diploma Specialist Make Up

Who is this course for?

This course is aimed at both men and women who are seeking a career as a make up artist within the beauty industry.

What qualifications or experience do I need ?

Applicants are required to have the following qualifications in order to gain entry onto this course: Mature learners and learners with industry experience will be considered. * A minimum of 3 GCSEs Grades A - D English, maths and an art subject are essential. * Basic skills in literacy and numeracy at Level 1 * A good eye for colour and an artistic flair * A satisfactory reference * A good manual dexterity and oral communication * An interest in make up artistry is required

What will I study ?

This course will cover the following topics: *Apply Cosmetic Make Up * Health & Safety and Communication * Eye Treatments * Facials * Functional Skills * Theory and science + tutorials * Teamwork * Photographic Makeup * Make up sessions *Tanning *Body Art *Reception

How will I be assessed ?

Assessment will be continous throughout this course and will come in the form of: * Projects/Assignments * Tests * Oral Questions

What qualifications could I achieve ?

On successful completion of this course students will achieve the following qualifications: * Beauty Therapy (Make Up) Level 2 Diploma
