Course programme
Overview of the course:
This qualification is designed for learners who wish to pursue a career as an employed and/or self-employed make-up artist. Learners will provide a range of creative make-up services in media, theatre and fashion and photographic settings. Learners will also style and fit wigs and hair pieces, apply false eyelashes and understand related cosmetic science that underpins the subject. Learners will also develop communication and customer service skills together with research and problem solving skills.

Additional information
Learners who achieve this qualification are eligible to become members of the British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology (BABTAC). The primary purpose of this qualification is to prepare learners for employment, however upon completion of this course learners may choose to progress to Level 4 in Salon Management or Advanced Beauty therapy Techniques.
