Course programme
This workshop will develop your general skills as a watercolorist and in particular help you to understand how to co-ordinate your colours to create
a harmonious painting.
Hopefully the weather will be kind to us and we will be able to work outside. If not I will have a good range of photos to work from and we can always just have a walk around the area to see some of the effects from life. It would be good also if you brought a few photos of your own.
Stable Studio is an excellent venue to work from. It has a tremendous range of subjects including many specimen trees, mixed woods and a canal in the vicinity. I suggest you bring a portable easel if you use one and a portable chair. You should bring your own painting materials. If you would prefer I can supply all materials and equipment for a small charge: Lunch, tea and coffee will be provided.
Lunch, tea and coffee will be provided.
The break will begin on the first evening with a talk/demonstration on composition.
I have found a variety of locations where we can sit together and paint a number of different views. The tuition will be made up of several demonstrations and lots of one to one attention.
