Course programme

The course consists of:

  • Health & Safety,
  • Engineering materials,
  • Manual metal arc welding,
  • Metal arc gas-shielded welding (MIG) and
  • Fabrication processes (sheet metal).
Course Assessment Method

The scheme is modular, each unit standing alone emphasising practical skills with the complementary written paper testing relevant knowledge. A full certificate is awarded to candidates who successfully complete all units. Certificates are countersigned by the Welding Institute who partner the scheme.
