Course programme
The course consists of:
- Health & Safety,
- Engineering materials,
- Manual metal arc welding,
- Metal arc gas-shielded welding (MIG) and
- Fabrication processes (sheet metal).
The scheme is modular, each unit standing alone emphasising practical skills with the complementary written paper testing relevant knowledge. A full certificate is awarded to candidates who successfully complete all units. Certificates are countersigned by the Welding Institute who partner the scheme.
