This half day course is aimed at students working in or training to work in the hospitality industry and provides an excellent overview of the service & storage of wine in different working environments.

Course Units The Storage of Wine: This will focus on key topics such as the ideal conditions for the storage of wine and techniques available to preserve wine once it has been opened. The Service of Wine: This section of the course will cover a number of different areas associated with the correct service of wine. These include:
· Correct temperatures for storage and service
· Selection of wine and identification of basic wine faults
· Equipment required such as corkscrews, linen and the correct glassware
· Opening and pouring different styles of wine
· Styles of service
