The course aims to explore the prevalence of eating disorders amongst women in the UK. Participants will look at the signs and symptoms of the most common eating disorders, explore what help is available and how best to support those living with eating disorders.

• Describe different sorts of eating disorder by identifying signs and symptoms• Identify risk factors that may contribute to women developing eating disorders• Identify the main forms of treatment for eating disorder• Identify services that support those living with eating disorders and their carers.

The class will be taught using media articles, firsthand accounts, quizzes, videos and group activities.
