Fancy a go at wood turning but never had the chance? Or last did wood turning at school, but never since? Then why not come on this beginner’s level course in woodturning and live up to your promise!
The taster session has been developed to take students with little or no experience as an introduction to the skills required and as a warm up course leading to a higher level if you so wish
All the projects pieces made can be taken home at the end of the course with no additional charge. The material costs are included within the course fee
The course delivered in partnership with WOOD AND STUFF LTD Lytham, Lancashire http://www.olivewoodturning.co.uk/ and will cover the following topics;
- Workshop safety
- A project demonstration
- Use of basic hand tools
- Sanding & Finishing
PROJECTS
- Basic cuts (Test piece - 'bumpy shiny stick')
- Pen

(Please note this course is not held at the Myerscough College, Bilsborrow campus)
All tools, materials and tuition will be provided by WOOD AND STUFF LTD at their specialist training workshop in Lytham

Students are expected to wear suitable clothing (not loose fitting) or a specialist apron, suitable footwear (not canvas or open-toed). Loose fitting jewellery to be removed.
