About this course

* students must study at Edinburgh Language Academy for a minimum of one month before work placement begins
* students must be at intermediate level (B1) or above
* students are interviewed by the Work Placement Business
* Work Placements are from one month to a maximum of six months
* ELA will test all students to check English level
* students can apply anytime of the year
* applications for Work Placements should be submitted a minimum of six to eight weeks before start date of work placement
* C.V (resume) and 2 passports photos

This test can be taken at ELA and is recommended after completion of your work placement.

This test is specially designed to help companies find out the level of language skills of their staff, trainees or job applicants.

BULATS covers business topics and situations such as:

  • general business environment
  • travel
  • health
  • buying and selling
  • products and services
  • relationships with clients and colleagues
