Course programme

Changes in society appear to be having a negative effect on the emotional wellbeing of many boys and young men. Workers often struggle with how best to engage and support them. This course puts the spotlight on these issues.

The course covers:

  • Young men in a changing society
  • Equality and diversity issues
  • Connecting theory and practice
  • Males and mental health
  • Working in a ‘male friendly’ way
  • What works in practice
  • Issues for female and male workers

Cost
The fees include all costs including travel and standard materials (each course has a full pack of handouts). They do not cover trainers' overnight accommodation (if required) or the cost of training packs that Young People in Focus sells commercially such as ESCAPE, Wavelength, or Working with Young People.

Expenses: All trainers' expenses such as travel and subsistence costs (but not accommodation when required) are covered in Young People in Focus' fee.

Cancellation Charges: If you have to cancel a course, charges apply.
