Description
Young People in Focus is a registered charity.
It was founded in 1989 as Trust for the Study of Adolescence (TSA).
We modernised our name in 2009 as part of our 20th anniversary celebrations.
Young people in focus helps individuals and organisations working with young people and families to provide better services by:
* carrying out research and evaluating services
* running projects that develop professional practice
* producing practical resources such as guides, toolkits and training packs
* training professionals in a wide range of topics
* influencing policy-makers.
We work across the UK and cover: health and emotional wellbeing; learning and education; parenting and family life; youth social action and participation; and youth justice.
We focus our work on some of the most disadvantaged and marginalized young people and families in the UK . We take a positive approach and aim to challenge the negative portrayal of young people today.
