In a highly experiential training, you will learn a tried and tested Contemporary model that unies the main psychotherapeutic approaches, as diverse as Counselling, CBT(Cognitive behavioral therapy), 12 Step and Motivational Interviewing, into the core conceptual and intervention commonalities that support recovery from substance addiction (drugs and alcohol) and process dependency, (such as sex and gambling). The training explores these applications in both group and individual therapy settings and the therapist's role in the dependency matrix. Suitable for: Counsellors, Psychotherapists, Coaches, Psychologists, Nurses, Drug & Alcohol Workers&and for all Professionals and Trainees wanting to enrich their current knowledge, understanding and skills in their work with addictions and dependency issues.

This training covers aspects of NHS (National Health Service )Knowledge and Skills Framework HWB4 and Health and Social care NOS (National Occupational Standards) HSC233 and HSC31. This training can count as 35 hours of CPD(Continuing Professional Development ) for Therapists & Counsellors.

Course Structure
Each day runs from 10 am to 5.30 pm
with a short mid-morning and afternoon break and an hour for lunch. This is an experiential training, utilising a variety of exercises and demonstrations, drawing on your own experience as a Practitioner and human being. The theory is presented in an easily digestible format and serves to inform and empower the Practitioner. The fully comprehensive manual is included in the course fee and provides the Professional with an invaluable source of information and suggestions, which can be utilised beyond the training.
