This course was previousy called the RYA ISAF Offshore Safety Course, however a change of name by the global governing body for sailing led to a change of name for this course. It satisfies the training required by World Sailing Offshore Special Regulations (OSR) 6.01 and covers the topics listed in OSR 6.02 for category 0, 1 & 2 races (and category 3 if racing double handed). This training is a requirement for many offshore races including the ARC Race, RORC Fastnet, RORC Round Britain and Ireland, RORC Trans Atlantic Race, Sydney Hobart RORC Round Ireland Race and the Lonely Rock Race). This course has previoulsy been known as the RYA/ISAF Offshore Course, the ISAF Offshore Safety Course or the ISAF Offshore Race Crew Course. Please note that under the current Offshore Special Regulations, certain crew members are required to undergo separate First Aid training.

About this course
You must hold the RYA Sea Survival Certificate taken within the last five years. This one-day course and the Sea Survival day are often held consecutively so that you can complete all of the necessary training in two days (often over a weekend).
