A SIX-MONTH FULL-TIME COURSE IN SCREENPLAY DEVELOPMENT & DIRECTING

The driving passion of many short film writer/directors is to develop a successful feature film.

LFA is delighted to announce this unique advanced programme for experienced writers/directors to take those first steps to making that great film idea a reality. This course will commence in November 2009.

London Film Academy is renowned for its focused, intensive and industry standard training as well as its in-depth practical approach to filmmaking and continued graduate development in a collaborative and personable way.

LFA First Feature Diploma consolidates the talents, knowledge and experience of its participants through seminars, workshops and extensive interaction with current film/TV industry professionals.

Throughout the 22 weeks of this course you will:
•write a Feature Film Screenplay under the supervision of a professional Script Editor/Screenwriter
pitch directly to industry professionals, including producers
direct pilot project material from your feature screenplay shot on Super16mm
•develop fluency in the grammar of visual storytelling
•work with professional actors you put into practise the art of directing performance
•work with a variety of writers and directors to expose you to different filmmaking approaches and methods
•leave the course with a showreel that showcases your work and access to professionals including producers, agents and development executives

This complete focus on writing and directing helps to maximise your potential as a creative individual.

The culmination of the achievement will be celebrated at a graduation awards ceremony and reception at a leading London cinema.

Payment options:

The course fee is £12,000 per person or per team. If you join this course as a team the director will attend the directing module and the writer will attend the writing module. All materials are included except the budget for the feature trailer/promo.
