Catherine Annis
teacher
Catherine Annis was a professional dancer and has been practising yoga for over 20 years. She holds a Masters degree in ballet studies and is a qualified yoga instructor and Thai massage practitioner. Her yoga practice and teaching focus on deepening physical awareness and alignment to reveal and release the natural freedom of the body, particularly the spine. She has studied various forms of yoga including Ashtanga, Sivananda and Hatha, before gravitating to the teachings of Vanda Scaravelli, particularly as expressed by John Stirk.
Susannah Hoffman
teacher
studied yoga as a child and grew up within the Yogic tradition. Her teaching style is her own, incorporating influences from the many styles and traditions of yoga. She is inspired by the one to one approach of the Viniyoga System. Each student is treated as an individual, encouraged to work at their own level and to take responsibility for their own well-being. Susannah is a fully qualified British Wheel of Yoga teacher.
Course programme
Yoga Beginners
Yoga is an ancient philosophy and system of practices designed to unite mind and body creating a sense of complete well-being. In this course, you will be introduced to some of the fundamental yoga poses concentrating on healthy alignment and establishing a deeper awareness of your breathing. Instruction in meditation and relaxation techniques will also be given.
This course creates a strong and safe foundation from which you can then investigate the different styles of yoga in any of triyoga's Open and Level One classes.
