Relax, keep fit and de-stress in this enjoyable hobby which will help you maintain flexibility.
Classes to include benefits of yoga, asana practice, simple prana and pranayama practices, meditation, relaxation and philosophy of yoga.
Assessment and Accreditation
The tutor will ask you to complete a health assessment at the start of the course to make sure the course meets your requirements. The tutor maintains a course assessment sheet to see how you are progressing. She may also use a video or digital camera to record learning. There are no certificates or exams.
What Can I Do Next?
If you would like to teach yoga you can apply to join the 'Yoga Wheel', the professional organisation of yoga tutors. You can also do an NCFE sports instruction qualification at Middlesbrough College. A lecturing qualification is also available through the adult education service.
