Is this course for me?
This course is suitable for those interested in developing the
skills needed to access the vocational course of their choice, or
to prepare themselves for the world of work. You will focus on
developing your communication skills and the skills needed for
employment.
What will I study?
This course will focus on developing

• skills of communication - written and spoken
• skills with number
• personal development, including working with other
• skills for employment.

These are optional subjects:

• As the programme develops there will be tasters in Vocational
  subjects to help learners make the best choices for progression and
  future study
  

What can I do next?
This can lead to one of our vocational courses or into
employment.
What are the entry requirements?
You will need to attend a short interview and assessment. Do not
worry if you have not been at school for a while or have no
qualifications. We will talk with you and work with you to make
sure you are on the right course.
How will I be assessed?
You will have a short assessment to help us find out about your
level of skill in English and Number. It is NOT at test but
something which will help us place you are on the correct level
course.
What will it cost?
If you are under 19 and a home student, in most circumstances,
you don't pay any fees. However, you will need to find this out
when you apply.
