Is this course for me?
This course is specially designed for students who find that an
A level programme does not suit their needs. If you are 16-19 and
want to go to university but would prefer an alternative route to
traditional AS/A-Levels through completing assignments rather than
taking exams, this could be the course for you.
What will I study?
You will study a wide range of social science and humanities
subjects, including psychology, law, sociology and history. The
focus for the programmes is on the development of skills required
to be successful at a higher level of study. You will be offered
the opportunity to meet with tutors from local universities and
undertake a wide range of interesting activities and learning
experiences.

What are the entry requirements?
You will need GCSEs at grades C and D including one in English
Language. Equivalent qualifications may also be considered. You may
be asked to complete a short written assessment. All applicants
will need to demonstrate strong motivation to study.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment is via coursework including essays, discussions,
online tests, oral presentations and reports. Occasionally you will
be required to complete work under timed conditions.
What will it cost?
If you are under 19 and a home student, in most circumstances,
you don't pay any fees. However, you will need to find this out
when you apply.
