USS Installation
Steps to install UNIX; modes of running z/OS UNIX; minimum, sockets-only and maximum mode; overview of security preparations; create root file system; initialisation scripts; inittabs; profiles; controlling services with BPXPRMxx parmlib member; JCL procedures; BPXOINIT and BPXAS; starting UNIX services; initial file system structure; HFS sharing; extended file system; applying maintenance; USS & WLM; USS & VLF; practical exercise.
Hierarchical File Systems - HFS
Using files from UNIX programs; the Physical File System (PFS); the Logical File System (LFS); root file system; shared file systems; Mount points and Automount facility; paths & file names; new JCL keywords for files; file administration with TSO/E; code conversion; backup/restore; practical exercise.
zFS File System
zFS aggregates; zfsadm command; zfs utility programs; define zFS data sets; zFS format aggregates & quotas; mounting zFS file systems; cloning; migrating HFS to zFS; practical exercise.
USS RACF Security
