What's it all about?:
If your job requires you to work with abrasive wheels then our one-day comprehensive course will provide you with the knowledge needed to safely mount, dress, set and use abrasive wheels. The course is both theoretical and practical and will cover not just the health and safety regulations,but safe working practices too.

You can progress to further courses at the College.

There are no specific entry requirements. However, you will be invited to attend an informal interview to assess your suitability for the course.

• hazards arising from the use of abrasive wheels
• methods of marking, storing, inspecting, balancing, dressing and transporting wheels
• adjustment of rests and guards
• and practical demonstrations.
