Entry qualifications

GYM INSTRUCTOR - Some experience of gym-based exercises, including free weights, is highly recommended. The course requires physical exertion and individual participation is essential; therefore, a degree of physical fitness is necessary.

Course content

This qualification comprises three mandatory units:

Unit 1 - Exercise and Fitness knowledge level 2

Unit 2 - Health, Safety and professionalism in Exercise and Fitness instruction

Unit 3 - Instructing gym

Successful achievement of all three units must be achieved for the full qualification.

Additionality

Suitable exercise clothing and footwear should be worn.

When will I receive my results?

Results will be forwarded on as soon as they are received at the college. Please note that certificates, where awarded, can take up to 4 months to be received at the college before forwarding on to learners.

Employment in instructing exercise to the general public. A natural progression could lead to Personal Training and/or Pilates
