Advanced Apprenticeship - Hospitality: Supervision and Leadership

This hands-on Apprenticeship will equip you with the skills to supervise and lead a team in the workplace.

This course is ideal for people who supervise others, such as team leaders, who have some control over staff rotas and resource control. Supervisers can work in any hospitality area, including kitchens, front of house, housekeeping or reception.

The topics covered in the course include:

• SMART target setting
• Staff development
• Control of resources
• Health and safety
• Developing customer service.
• Developing teams and skills
• Maintaining a hygienic and secure working environment
• Supervising functions

Apprentices can choose the specialist units relevant to their own area.

The learning experience will be individual and fun, with in-house on the job training and options of workshops either in College or with your trainer. You will also be able to make use of facilities both at your workplace and in the College, including our excellent library and learning resource centre.

Good English and maths skills are essential for success in studying and for future employment prospects and so Croydon College ensures that these skills are developed in all learning opportunities.

It’s also important to have good English and maths qualifications and so all students will study English and maths and work towards an appropriate level and type of qualification including GCSE.
