This is an exciting subject for students who are interested in working with people in a wide range of settings. We offer you the opportunity to study life in depth and the content is varied and interesting. We aim to create a positive, creative and friendly environment where students are motivated and feel confident to express empathy and understanding with a diverse range of human needs.

We offer the following units:
AS: Health & Social Care:
Communication in Care Settings, Promoting Good Health and Promoting Quality Care.
A2: Child Development, Care, Practice & Provision, Understanding Human Behaviour
Within this subject we enhance our learning experience through work experience, listening to talks from visiting professionals, and visiting exhibitions, conferences and health fairs. Teaching methods vary from discussion and independent research projects to multi-media applications.
