Year 1
In Year 1, you will study both subjects equally (2 units from each subject).
The Business units are:
- Dynamic Business Environments
- Understanding and Managing People
The Marketing units are:
- Marketing Communications Theory and Practice
- Principles of Marketing

Year 2
In Year 2, you can continue with equal study (2 units from each subject) or choose a major/minor route (3 units from one subject, 1 unit from the other subject). You must study the core unit from each subject.
The Business units are:
- Marketing and Business Operations (core)
- Responsible Business
- Management and Organisation (PDP)
- Worked Based Learning
- Ideas, Creativity and Entrepreneurship
The Marketing units are:
- Brand Management (core)
- Consumer Behaviour and Culture
- Advertisement Management
- Agency Life
- Direct and Interactive Relationship Marketing

Year 3
In your final year you choose one of the following:
- Continue with the equal or major/minor route you chose in Year 2.
- If you chose equal study in Year 2 you can change to major/minor study.
- If you chose major/minor study in year 2 you can change to equal study.
- If you chose Business as a major route, you can change to named route and graduate with BA (Hons) Business.
The core unit for Business is Global Strategy and there is a wide range of optional units on offer. The optional units vary each year but an indicative list is:
- Business Project
- Project Management
- Digital and Social Media Marketing Communications Management
- Entrepreneurial Practice
- Psychology at Work
- Business Ethics and Sustainability
The core unit for Marketing is Strategic Marketing Management and the optional units currently include:
- Strategic Communications Theory and Planning
- Corporate Reputation Management
- International and Global Marketing
- Developing a Digital Business
- Research Project
You can complete a final year project or dissertation. If you take equal study you can choose to do this unit in either business or marketing. If you are taking a major or named route, this unit will come from the major or named subject.
