What will I learn?
This course has been designed by City & Guilds to provide basic training and is ideal if you are seeking employment in the construction industry and want to try out different trades before deciding which route is appropriate for your career path. You will gain experience in a number of trade units from the areas of painting and decorating, brickwork, carpentry and joinery, plumbing and electrical. You will need to complete 8 units from the 57 available. You can mix and match units to suit your interest and level of ability.

How will I be taught?
This course is taught through a combination of practical sessions in the workshops and theory sessions in the classroom.

How will I be assessed?
The course is assessed through a portfolio of evidence, photographs and practical unit assignments.

What could I do next?
On successful completion of the course you will be able to progress to further courses of study at Level 1 in trade specific areas such as brickwork, carpentry, plumbing and electrical.
