Who is this course for?
This course was designed with the complete beginner in mind. It starts the learner in to photographic techniques at a basic level.

What will I learn?
During the course the learner will be instructed in the following elements: · How to arrange a close up composition · How to set the camera controls · How to make a light reflector · Camera care and maintenance · How to pose your subjects · How to take a portrait photograph · How to use aperture and shutter controls · How to take a landscape photograph · How to use a printer The learners on this course will be using digital compact cameras and to own one would be an advantage, however the college does provide cameras during class hours.

Assessment
This course works towards an Open Network College qualification and is assessed throughout the year by means of portfolio building.

On Completion Achievement / Progression
On completion of this course you could progress onto other digital photography courses.
