Basic Weapons Awareness & Recognition

The main function of this course is to promote safety in the work place and to prevent injury or loss of life by getting students to "think differently" about weapons.

The topic areas covered are:
- Understand the terms Made, Intended and Adapted.
- Edged Weapons
- Striking Weapons
- Projectile Weapons
- Disguised Weapons
- Case Study

The course is delivered at The Source over one full day with light refreshments and all course materials provided. Assessment is by a multiplechoice exam at the end of the day, in which delegates have to achieve 6 correct questions out of 10. Successful delegates will then receive a certificate accredited by Skills for Security.
