Course Content: This course has been designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills required to meet the needs of the modern day Sports Industry. You will gain this formal qualification through the completion of the following exciting and diverse range of units:

· Body in Sport

· Health, Safety and Injury

· Sports Industry

· Planning and Leading in Sport

· Practical Sports or Outdoor Activities

· Instructing Exercise and Fitness

Special Features: You will be assessed via class based assignments and work sheets as well as practical observations and demonstrations which will allow you to learn and begin to master the many techniques of sports delivery.

The course will allow the improvement and training of interpersonal skills such as communication, teamwork, individual research and working to set deadlines. Several trips are organised throughout the year these can range from camping in France to skiing in Italy, such activities are subject to change.

Progression: Once you have completed this course to a merit standard along with a GCSE re-sit in Maths or English you will then be qualified to progress onto the BTEC National Diploma Level 3 in Sport or equivalent qualification.
