Course programme

This course offers a range of learning activities to inspire students. Professionally qualified and practising lecturers foster a supportive and creative approach to independent learning. There is also the opportunity to use a variety of specialist equipment, e.g. an ageing suit, wheelchairs, blindfolds and ear plugs etc, in order to broaden their awareness and understanding of other people’s needs. The course requires 300 hours of work experience in a variety of placements. All students will complete three different work placements each year and students are encouraged to find their own placements. This element provides an outstanding opportunity that is recognised and valued by universities and employers.

You will learn through projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. All units are assessed and graded and an overall grade awarded.
