About this course
You will need a recommendation from your school and a successful interview. It is helpful if you have had some experience of looking after children eg as a babysitter or in a voluntary group.

* Personal Development* Human Growth & Development (Birth to old age - families)* Food and Nutrition* Health and safety practices in home and group setting* Care of Children* Play and Practical activities* Orientation to Work Programme* 90 hours of work experience in year 2 for suitable candidatesWorking with other students and with support you will learn about many aspects of caring for, and working with, children. You will learn by discussing, reading and through practical activities. You may also have a work experience placement.

No Course Fees for Under 19's. Over 19's must pay, or claim Level 2 or Level 3 Entitlement for FREE courses .
What next?
If you do well on this course you can progress to other CACHE courses in Childcare or Health and Social Care at level I and II.
