What is the Computing for Beginner's course?
This course is for individuals with no previous knowledge of using computers or those who need to increase their confidence when using a computer.
Course topics
- Identify and use the main components of a computer
- Create, Edit, Save and Print a simple text document using MS Word
- Create a simple poster using text and picture in MS Word
- Search and navigate the World Wide Web using the internet
- Send and Receive emails
This course is tutor-led with every student allocated a computer. You will follow tutor led activities that are demonstrated with the use of a multi-media projector and screen. There will be ample time for you to ask questions throughout the course, and exercises will help consolidate your learning.
Assessment details
Assessment will be by tutor observation and verbal feedback on completed tasks. There will be no formal assessment.
