CTLLS- Level 4 Certificate in Teaching In The Lifelong Learning Sector

Course review:

The CTLLS qualification is required for those carrying out an Associate Teacher Role. An associate teaching role means a teaching role that carries significantly less responsibilities than ordinarily carried out in a full teaching role, such as curriculum development.

If you are working in, or aiming for, a full teacher role, you need to complete DTLLS, which we also provide.

Course Content

There are 4 units, including PTLLS:

Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS)
Planning and Enabling Learning
Principles and Practice of Assessment
Teaching a Specialist Subject

You will attend a workshop 4 times within a 6`month`period and have support from your trainer.You also need to have evidence of 30 hours of teaching, 3 of those hours
are to be observed. If you already have this system in place where you
work, we can use copies of those observational reports. Alternatively we can come out and observe you which is included in the course price.

On average most people would be looking to complete the course within 3-6 months. Any person who is choosing to start this course must be currently training or teaching.
