Courses are held at our Training Centre in Bury St Edmunds and on site throughout East Anglia. This One Day First Aid Course in Suffolk, covers Emergency First Aid Training in the Workplace, and deals with Primary Care Skills.

Suffolk First Aid offer this HSE, EFAW One Day Emergency First Aid at Work Course in Suffolk, and on site for Companies, Individuals and groups. We offer Training at our Centre in Bury St Edmunds and on site including Ipswich, Sudbury, Stowmarket, Cambridge, Felixstowe, Lowestoft, Newmarket, Woodbridge, Ely, Thetford.

This EFAW Course in Suffolk, is a 6 hour Emergency First Aid at Work Course designed to train individuals in the administration of First Aid in the Workplace. During the course you will watch video segments and study from a manual that will teach you the steps and techniques for handling life-threatening emergencies safely and with confidence.

EFAW First Aid Course Structure:

  • Understand the role of the first aider including reference to:
  • The importance of preventing cross infection
  • The need for recording incidents and actions
  • The use of available equipment
  • Assess the situation and circumstances in order to act safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency
  • Administer first aid to a casualty who is unconscious (including seizure)
  • Administer CPR
  • Administer first aid to a casualty who is choking
  • Administer first aid to a casualty who is wounded and bleeding
  • Administer first aid to a casualty who is suffering from shock
  • Provide appropriate first aid for minor injuries (including small cuts, grazes and bruises, minor burns and scalds, small splinters)
  • There is also an exam at the end of the course

It is also recommended that the students carry our a First Aid Refresher Course every year to keep their First Aid Skills up to date.

Optional Additions.

We are able to offer training in the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) as an Additional Module at your request. There is a discounted rate for the AED Course when added to any of our other courses.
