Entry Requirements
You need to have successfully completed the 90 Credit Diploma in Production Arts (Make-up). Minimum of 4 GCSE C grades or above, including English and maths. You must have an interest in the make-up industry and must demonstrate an ability to communicate and follow the professional standards set by the awarding bodies. You must be prepared to study the complete study programme, this includes maths and English and employability, enrichments and tutorials.

Course Duration
One year – Full time.

Skills and Benefits
This course is for anyone who wishes to work in the film industry, television or theatre. This course will enable you to gain more advanced practical skills and knowledge in order to provide Hair, Special Effects including prosthetics and bald caps and Media Make-up to all aspects of the media industry. The course will enable you gain employment in the Hair, Photographic and Media Make-up Industry. There are opportunities for a Hair, Photographic and Media Make-up Artist to find employment in a variety of areas: Hair and make-up studio Production companies Theatre companies Media TV/Film

Course Assessment
As part of this qualification you are required to produce a portfolio of evidence. A portfolio will confirm the knowledge, understanding and skills that you have learnt. It may be in electronic or paper format. Evidence in the portfolio may take the following forms: Observed work Witness statements Audio-visual media Evidence of prior learning or attainment Oral questions Assignments Case studies

Progression
Level 2 Diploma's in Hairdressing, Barbering, Beauty Specialists or Nail Treatments. Alternatively a Foundation Degrees in Fashion and Editorial Make-up or Media Make-up.
