I used to have an Aunt Mary that, rumour has it, was such a prolific knitter that she would bring her knitting to the movies and work on it whilst watching the latest flick! No only did you have to deal with the chatter of people talking over the movie, you also had to deal with the "click, clack" of her needles throughout the movie! Our Fit to Knit class is for beginners who want to learn the basics about knitting - how to read and breakdown a simple pattern, casting on, casting off, working with knit and purl stitches, stocking and garter stitches as well as increasing and decreasing. Each student will have a choice of one of three projects they would like to work with - ipod/phone cover, scarf or a simple hat. Due to the nature of the course, the project will not be completed in the 3.5 hour class (come on - we are good but we aren't that good!) however, a secondary date for a followup session will be voted on by those attending the course and completed or nearly/completed projects will be shown at the this session. £40 per student TO REGISTER,
