Who is the programme for? Flexible Learning caters for people who would like to study, but cannot attend College at regular times. The revolutionary Flexible Learning Language Centre has been opened to respond to the need for greater flexibility in language learning.

What will I study? The aim of the programmes studied in the Centre is to help learners gain a basic degree of linguistic and cultural awareness. The programme is for people with or without prior knowledge of the foreign language and for those who wish to further develop their knowledge and ability to use a language. The Centre offers the opportunity to gain skills in any of the following 13 languages: * Arabic * Chinese * Danish * Dutch * English as a foreign language * French * German * Greek * Italian * Japanese * Portuguese * Russian * Spanish For opening times

Entry to the Programme?

How is it assessed? There are no conventional examinations, although those wishing to sit for examinations may be able to. A College Certificate of Attendance can be issued if requested, or you can enter for the NOCN Accredition.

Future prospects? After successful completion of a programme, students can progress onto other language programmes. Traditional language programmes are always available to anyone interested. Please ask for further details.

When will the programme start? The Centre is open throughout the College year (36 weeks).

How long will it take? Students learn at their own pace in their own time. They can choose from any of the following membership deals: SILVER - Students can use the Centre for up to 20 hours of learning during the day or evening. PREMIER/CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP - This allows students to use the Centre as often as they like, and for as many hours as they like, for a whole calendar year, eg Sept to June.
