Floristry NCFE Level 1 Award

You will be encouraged to develop creative skills related to floristry and flower arranging by applying range of current techniques to create your designs which you will take home.

You will learn how to use basic tools and equipment applying Health and Safety and how to care for a range of flowers and foliage

You will be initially assessed to understand your level of experience and the tutor will support you to develop an individual learning plan setting out what you want to achieve by the end of the course. You will develop a portfolio of work as there is no formal exam your work will be assessed and evaluated to help you achieve the level required.

During the course you will need to keep your folder updated and should set aside time each week to do this and also to buy the flowers, foliage and materials required for your designs. The tutor will give you information on where to purchase these at reasonable cost.
