Communication Technology
The course is for two years part-time. The first years attendance is on a Monday afternoon and a Wednesday morning. The final years attendance is on a Thursday afternoon and a Friday morning.
Assessment
Assessment -
* Portfolio assessment for units 2- 6
* Assessments graded Pass, Merit and Distinction
* Tutor report for unit 1
* Personal action plan for unit 7
* A multiple choice exam
* The course can be graded for units alone or as a whole award
Progression
Progression -
* After completing the course students can progress (with satisfactory grades and reports) to a level 2 course â€" Certificate in Childcare and Education or NVQ Level 2
* Students may also gain employment within a childcare and education setting and undergo further training within the area
