This innovative course will give you the opportunity to become part of the rapidly expanding sport and exercise industry. With the onset of the 2012 Olympic games there will be a need for suitably qualified sport and health professionals. This multi-disciplinary qualification provides theoretical, practical and vocational learning opportunities. Successful completion allows for progression onto our BA Top-Up Sports Studies programme, also validated by the University of Hull. The course offers you the opportunity to study scientific principles to a higher level and apply this knowledge to sporting situations.

Course Assessment
You will be assessed by various methods of performance observations, practical application, assignments, presentations, reports and projects. You will be expected to undertake two work placements in the Sport and Health Industry which you are to arrange yourself

Personal attributes
It is essential you are IT literate and be familiar with using programmes such as Word, PowerPoint as well as the Internet. You should have good written and oral communication skills to undertake this course. You also need to be able to undertake individual studies away from college e.g. research and writing assignments. You should be willing to participate in a range of practical sport and exercise activities.
