Course description
This well-established course provides an educational foundation for a range of technical and management careers in engineering. Its specialist studies are directly relevant to a range of vocations or professions. The specification is designed by Edexcel but the validating body is Oxford Brookes University. There is a core of general engineering units but you will also study option modules related to Mechanical Engineering. Attendance at College is one day per week for two years.

A National Diploma or National Certificate in Engineering with at least a Merit in the Further Mathematics Unit or equivalent qualifications. For mature candidates alternative entry criteria of a similar standard may be considered.

Applications are direct to College. Please contact Maggie Knight or our HE Admissions ( details above). Discussions are underway to convert this qualification to a Foundation Degree.
