Course Aims
This course is designed to develop students business knowledge and skills essential for their effective performance in administrative and management careers, in industry, commerce, and the public sector. It also prepares them for self employment. It provides students with a solid foundation for further study.
Special Features
The skills workshops run throughout year one to develop students IT and communication skills.
Assessment Methods
Performance in all modules will be assessed either by coursework or set examinations or a combination of both.
Achievements/Qualifications
HND in Business. The HND is a level 4 qualification recognised on the National qualifications framework.
Progression Routes
The student will be able to progress to a full degree in Business and related studies. Most of the professional bodies in the business and administration fields are prepared to grant generous exemptions to holders of BTEC Higher Level qualifications. For example, the Institute of Administrative Management may grant in effect 50% exemptions towards their Advanced Diploma.
