Course Description
Supported by the Farriery Training Agency. This one year course provides a comprehensive introduction to the farriery industry. You will develop a knowledge of the biology of horses, horse care and handling. It will also develop your practical and theoretical skills in forging, give you industrial experience and an opportunity to acquire a Key Skills qualiïfication in Application of Number, Communication or IT. It is an ideal foundation for those who wish to progress to formal farriery training. Please note that this course does not enable you to progress directly into the farriery trade.
